St. Andrews Stepping Stones Toddler Club and Playgroup

Dear Parents,


Welcome to the new term, we do hope your child/children are settling into playgroup or toddlers. We are delighted to have Sue Fisher as our new playgroup leader helped by Caroline Brett, Sandra Nunn and Joanne Boswell. Sue Todd and Kelly Nuttall are continuing as our toddler group leaders. The times for Toddlers have had to change slightly to allow Kelly and Sue to collect their children from the Nursery School; new times are 9.30am to 11am.

This term the children in Playgroup will be doing the topic “All About Me”. Sue would like the children to bring in photos of themselves as babies, their homes and families – please label carefully! They will be returned.
 
Fund raising is an important part of Stepping Stones; it enables us to buy new equipment for the children and provides many basics and extras that the fees don’t cover. We have raised well over £1000 so far this year, which is excellent. Thank you to all those who have helped with this. We have a number of further fundraising opportunities coming up this term.

With this letter you will receive a leaflet from The Bulb Man who sell a range of spring and summer bulbs at excellent prices. If you would like to order from this please return your forms and cheques (payable to St Andrew’s Stepping Stones Play and Toddler group) by next Wednesday, 26th September.
 
You will also receive a Yellow Moon Catalogue containing a range of craft and Christmas present ideas. If you wish to order from this please do so direct from the catalogue or on line quoting the reference number from the back of the catalogue. There is no time limit on this. We receive a percentage of any orders made from both Yellow Moon and The Bulb Man.
 
We hold regular coffee mornings at the Church Halls, the next one will be on Monday October 15th, please come and join us for coffee and homemade cakes. We will also be arranging a Carol Singing slot just before Christmas and there will be a quiz night in January, dates to be confirmed.

We are collecting the latest Tesco vouchers, please give to one of the staff or put in the collecting box.
 
We would like to invite you to the Stepping Stones AGM on Thursday October 4th in the Church Halls at 8pm. This is an opportunity to find out more about the playgroup and to consider becoming involved on the committee or helping out at some of the fundraising events. Wine and nibbles will be available. We look forward to seeing you there.

Monday October 29th Playgroup closed because of school training day
Wednesday December 19th Playgroup Christmas Party

Finally, as autumn approaches, please ensure your child has warm clothes and a coat, all clearly named, as they will continue to use the outside area as much as possible.
