Teddy Bear time is another activity provided for the Under 5's by St Andrews Church. Children are invited into the church for a small "service" accompanied by their parent or carer and most importantly their teddy bear!

The first 15-20 minutes are spent in the church enjoying a short story from the Bible with plenty of songs and music aimed at this young group. The children bring their teddy bears to meet "Eddy the Teddy" and wait to see what "News", a bird puppet has brought to show them.

Afterwards refreshments are served in the Stable Rooms next to the Church to give adults and children the opportunity to make new friends and meet with existing ones. There is always a craft activity on offer based on the theme of the service and many toys available for the children to play with. 

Teddy Bear Time is open to everyone and provides families with a chance to meet within the Church, have fun and be reminded of God's love for each of them. 

Church Services

St Andrew's Church in Histon holds an all age service on the first Sunday of each month at 10:45. Families are welcome at all our other services throughout the month where we provide a creche and clubs for all ages of children to attend, after joining in the first part of the service in the main church. Refreshments are served in the Stable Rooms after each service.

Baptisms and Thanksgivings

Baptisms and thanksgivings are a very important part of our Church services. If you would like to have your child(ren) baptised or would like to arrange a thanksgiving please contact the church office on 01223 232255. They will arrange for someone to call you to discuss your requirements and arrange for your family to attend a baptism course where suitable.
